Remote Hands Technicians Now Directly Serve Customers

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., Feb. 17, 2009 – Data center developer and operator 365 Main announced today that the company has established a remote hands service company to serve the technical service needs of its customers. The Remote Hands services, ranging from equipment installation and inventory to software installation and tape management, had previously been provided indirectly through a third party.

365 Main formed the 40 plus person service company as part of an ongoing effort to maximize the 365 Main customer experience. The direct availability of service technicians comes at a critical time for customers who continue to downsize or eliminate IT staff altogether. According to recent data published by AFCOM, a leading data association for data center professionals, 38% of respondents said they have been asked to reduce data center spending in 2009.

365 Main service technicians offer a cost effective alternative to customer staff, and represent a reliable, convenient resource for data center activities such as customer move-in, server refresh or IT architecture redesign. Technicians are available 24 hours a day and can work independently on behalf of customers or in conjunction with existing customer staff.

Services are available immediately in 365 Main’s San Francisco, CA, Oakland, CA, El Segundo, CA and Chandler, AZ data centers. Services are planned in the company’s Chantilly, VA facility later in 2009 when customers require. Customers can order services in one-hour increments or in discounted service bundles guaranteeing dedicated resources each month. Service requests are placed directly through the company’s existing core ticketing system or customer service phone number.
